  • Supportive Care Information Session

    Info Session

    The Supportive Care program prepares individuals to assist those needing support to live independently at home or in the community. Uses a holistic approach to support individuals across the lifespan at various levels of health and wellness. Theory courses are offered live on Zoom. In-person labs take place at one of our lab sites across the province (offered virtually as a back up). Includes an 80-hour, paid preceptorship that is completed with the hiring employer and their consenting clients and preceptors. Mandatory to receive an offer of employment letter prior to moving forward with registration.

  • Registered Behavior Technician

    Training

    This series focuses on conceptual foundations of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques. Explore how ABA can assist various groups manage disruptive behavior, including individuals living with autistic traits, dementia, learning exceptionalities, and more. Individuals who currently work or aspire to work in schools, health care, long term care, correctional or enforcement fields should consider this program and the knowledge and skills set it will provide to navigate challenging real-life scenarios and conditions. We will discuss the management of disruptive behavior, but we will also focus on the prevention of crisis moments. Learn how to set individuals up for sustainable success by focusing on skill-building and replacement behaviors. This essential training provides an excellent foundation for participants wishing to pursue Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification.* The RBT training series consists of 40 instructional hours as required by the accrediting body, the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. This is the requirement for the BCBA profession. These 40 hours are split evenly across 4 distinct modules of 10 hours each. Focusing on both theory and practice, there is ample time for questions, discussion, reflection, and simulated cases to demonstrate acquisition of skills.
